Senna's map is a hijack. Imho, that doesn't deserve much respect.

Power has gone to your head. Not to mention political correctness and the typical inbetweener stance where you try to make everybody happy which isn't possible, nor is it logical and it misrepresents the actual situation.

You both were clearly in the wrong here, read the fucking rules.

Also, pxtl, which map are you talking about? Its no longer DSD based.

I agree Spring may have a problem in the sense that the user needs to know beforehand if a map is in fact trying to be a mod. But this engine (or lobby) flaw does not mean Senna deserves any bad words. In fact the opposite, because his maps are fairly popular.

That's the primary reason why I lack respect for him. Because he spams #main and PM spams players asking them to join his game which is usually just a map he's copy pasted and then made his mod changes to without crediting or asking the original author's of the maps he copied.

His DSD Special map for example, teaches players to play badly and really is just a hijack because it tricks the new guys into thinking that "Special" means better.

May I direct the general population to the basic rules: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6693

Don't attack the active moderators when they moderate you for your actions.

This is the exact reason I've been playing his maps once or twice. Problem is, BA battles tend to get very serious and people get pissed off and start to blame individual players when their team fails. Every time you play, you feel like you have to perform 110%.

You may not always be in the mood for a such a serious BA battle. With Senna's stuff, you can LOL in the corner for the whole game, and no one gives a shit. And there is always a bigger krog.

I'm sorry, does he now exclusively publish his mod as a mod instead of mapmods? No more hijacks?

In that case, I withdraw my previous comment. His maps may be ugly, but I really can't complain when Castles is still a fave of mine.

Can the model somehow be inflated using LUA? :P

I will LOL when the krog no longer fits on the map or crushes its own lab upon leaving it.

A mod where Peewees are the size of krogs would make me jizz.

I meant as a mutator. Not a map.

I meant mod-side mutators, not map mutators.
