Re: Release: Spring 84.0! The DragonSlayer!

Thanks for reporting, but please windows stacktraces only. Linux ones you will have to translate yourself otherwise they are pretty useless. Is this true for Debug builds too? I provide a (quite large) spring-dbg package for my Debian spring package for exactly the reason to get meaningful stacktra...

Re: New release! Spring 83.0 is out!

I'm the Fedora spring maintainer. Just to be certain: I should rename spring-0.82.7.1 to spring-83? (In words: Spring version eighty three?) no, it seems to be a new version, you should not rename the old one. I think the question was more about 0. 82.x vs. 83.x (as in "Has the leading zero be...

Exactly! Is there a way to build with g++ 4.5?
CMake uses variables for this, have a look at http://cmake.org/Wiki/CMake_Useful_Vari ... _and_Tools

Re: Compile from source error on Debian testing (wheezy)

So I got the latest Spring source tarball, ran cmake . and it came out with no errors. But then I ran make, and it produced this error: [ 8%] Building CXX object AI/Skirmish/E323AI/CMakeFiles/E323AI.dir/AAStar.cpp.o In file included from /home/yanom/spring_0.82.7.1/AI/Skirmish/E323AI/AAStar.cpp:1:0...

Re: Constant Sync Errors on Debian Testing (wheezy)

we believe it is cause they use gcc 4.6 in debian testing, you could compile spring yourself with gcc 4.5-, or use the spring package from debian stable or ubuntu. Yes it is caused by gcc 4.6 builds and happened on Fedora too. The problem is known as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug...

You might want to try the Debian package from experimental (Debian Squeeze is frozen thats why I uploaded it to experimental instead of unstable/testing).

Debian packages for springlobby 0.93 and spring 0.82.3

I uploaded springlobby 0.93 and spring 0.82.3 to the Debian archive today. Both packages are available in the Debian experimental suite. I uploaded binary packages for the amd64 architecture. Packages for i386 should be available as soon as a free autobuilder built them. Please read http://wiki.debi...
