Re: Com Counter Display
Agree with Klapmongol and very_bad_soldier: this widget has some definite cheating side effects: 1. those who have it know how many coms the enemy has left: this unbalances the game in favour of those who have it 2. those who have it know who are the enemy techers because they self-d their com at th...

Re: Pissed off with springlobby always updated before reposi
Thanks gajop. Sorry for the language."pissed off" was a bit over the top. Awaiting the static binary, can it be requested that the spring server maintainers update only after the distribution spring packagers have posted to the repositories? There must be hundreds of Linux players like me ...

Pissed off with springlobby always updated before repository
I am getting really annoyed with the fact that springlobby server is often upgraded to the new version of spring engine before the new client spring engine is availlable in the Linux repositories. This means Linux users systematically loose a day during which they just can't play as their version of...

Re: Problem with unitsync library
To be more specific, this is how it worked for me in ubuntu:
1. open up .springlobby.conf:
sudo gedit /home/marco/.springlobby
2. Change the following line:
UnitSyncPath=/usr/lib/spring/unitsync.so
to
UnitSyncPath=/usr/lib/spring/libunitsync.so
3. voila

Re: FIXES: Windows 0.78.1.4
Not your fault, Lurker, but the only link I saw was the one being passed around in main lobby which was:
http://64.86.28.46/spring%200.78.1.unofficial-4.zip
I wouldn't have thought twice about downloading from jobjol. As far as I'm concerned, having it up on a known website would be security enough.

Re: FIXES: Windows 0.78.1.4
Lurker, thanks for the patch! I'd like to point out however that last night at 3 am (European time) a lot of us were wary of this "unofficial" patch for the following reasons: 1. no-one seemed able to say who had made it and what it fixed 2. it was hosted on a server with no domain name (j...

Version 0.77b3
Hi, I was unable to install lobby client v0.77b3. Kept getting "unable to open file unitsync.dll, xx.xx... (etc) for writing". In case anyone is getting the same problem, I solved it by exitng the CAdownloader after having launched the lobby client but before logging in and attempting the ...
