I had this same problem on my HD5870. I have installed the beta driver in the link provided by Yuri and it fixes the problem. I am running window7 64bit. Here is a close up of what a metal extractor looked like before the fix: http://members.cox.net/~dpsurny/screen00002.png

I played spring on an intel GMA900 laptop once and I had to turn all the settings down to get it to work smoothly. The GMAx3100 is supposed to be a lot better, but I have not actually tried it. I am looking at some ultra portable laptops and very few offer external graphics chips like Ge8400 or Ge86...

I'm thinking about getting a laptop with an integrated x3100 video controller. Has anyone played spring on this type of vid chip? If so how is it?
