Well after long decisions i realised it would take me way too much time to buy a new base unit pc, so i am buying back my old base unit, speakers, keyboard and 19" screen off my friend for £100. So i will be finally able to play Spring once again. Why am i posting here? Because i use Ubuntu...

ok game runs at my friends pc...

the problem was he didnt had the original nvidia.com drivers installed (wtf!!!!)

the second problem was after that that the game crashed a few minutes into the game.

could be solved by installing games to c:\gamesfolder instead e:\gamesfolder

amd x2 with 2,6ghz
2gbyte ram
lots of free space
some asus board
no OC


run by spring.exe or lobby ... same problem.

tryed also the 0,74 beta... same error..

i guess a 64 bit system with 32 bit libs would be no problem but what about a nativ 64 bit system?

that is the problem about it. i dont want to bind it on a key (x and z work for that operation) mouse4 and mouse5 dont work with spring under linux. If x and z are not convenient, why not other keys? The default is: bind Any+z buildspacing inc bind Any+x buildspacing dec So you could just bind that to any keys you want, as you did with the other keys. But maybe you should ask on a linux specific irc room/forum about whether this may be a misconfiguration of keyboard settings somewhere else. tha...
