Ok Das Bruce I wasn't sure which forum this would belong in - hence the orignal post in Off-topic - which I realised afterwards that I rarely visit - so I was hoping that maybe a thread here would recieve more attention. Which it has although it wasn't really what i was after. Apologies all r...

I'd go with Heze every time. Sleksa has a remarkable game occasionally though and Min3mat both worth watching. Speak of which point that fella in the direction of those comet ccatcher replays you've got hosted - they're pretty good. (shame the map is so aesthetically dull)

SPEEDMETAL FTW! actually no - i hope this map crawls to a very lonely place and dies in a great deal of pain over a number of years before finally finding out that anything remotely related to it has been tortured and killed by the crazy frog tune just before it passes on to whichever frickin' hell ...

Yeah it's called Blue Screen of Death because the guys who set it up (some years ago) are programmers for a large firm in the UK - they're all a good bunch of lads who are up for a laugh so feel free to drop by the forums and say hi.

The unit it tries to attack is probably to close to it to be in its range, in this situation the bertha will raise its turret and shoot outside of its own range.

Solution - dont build them on such tiny maps (why would you need one?)

In Game Text Unreadable

Hi there - just installed spring on a new machine but the in game text is unreadable - I refer specifically to the minus energy or metal values and the text on the order buttons for all units. On the buttons some of the text just seems too small to read but in the case of the energy and metal usage ...

I'm pretty sure stealth870 would help you out there - if he says no tell him I'll take that job if he does.

I dont think he's a member of this forum so you'll have to talk to him at TAU

not too savvy on scripting tbh but couldn't you go around this by using a missile script but make it slow enough and short ranged enough that it looks like a bomb (also only let it target ground units)

Maybe in your butchered american englisch yes, but over here its a different story. And no, there isn't. Uh... actually local fiend is correct there. If it is different in New Zealand (which it isn't) then they've butchered it. Oh and I'm English and a poet of the National Poetry Guild. But if you ...

How would we know this without a thread like this one?

I for one see a lot of value in it but if you dont then it's your prerogative to ignore it.

Very good idea - trouble is who's going to write it, given that peoples opinions vary widely - not to mention grey areas (such as comm-bombing) its something the community should work on as a whole I feel. Trouble is, start up a discussion about etiquette and it'll turn into a flame war in no time.

I'm an advocate of the small patch small radius style (OTA) as seen in comet catcher, painted desert and a few others. Very enjoyable maps. Also it allows the map-maker to have more control over placing the best strategic points.

As I say I'm not electing to ban him just a strike and he does know what he is doing - as I say I have played him before and he has been very competent. However naturally this all depends on judgement so if you dont think its something that would bother you then go ahead and play with him, for those...
