About
'Not OTA', or NOTA, is a re-imagining of the TA universe with an emphasis on realism, scale, and strategy. Units have been altered, scaled, added, and replaced to create a consistent world: infantry kbots are smaller than tanks, aircraft use fuel and have a variety of distinct roles such as ground attack, air superiority, interception, and strategic bombing, and ships are not small boats, but true, full-scale ships, with subs for raiding the enemy's economy, destroyers for hunting subs, and capital ships for engaging enemy fleets. The result is a cohesive, believable world that very much resembles the one seen in the original TA intro video.

The Latest NOTA Space Bugs is included in NOTA v1.66. NOTA Space Bugs puts you and your allies in a "Star Ship Troopers" situation.
NOTA 1.66 runs on the Spring engine version 0.82.7.0, earlier versions may or may not run it.

Getting Into NOTA
The NOTA channel
When you are in lobby you can type "/j #nota". This will join the NOTA channel which has the current links for NOTA's assets. The channel is important for finding hosts and players. Just as important; the NOTA channel is where the newest versions will first be available. To set channel auto-join upon log-in, right click the chat window for settings.
Team Speak / Mumble
NOTA has been the most active and nearly the only mod/game that fully uses Team Speak. Team speak allows for outstanding communication. TS can also let team mates lead and teach noobs, removing the common noob problems.
The Spring VOIP server (TS) has changed to Mumble.

Tagging Up
If you like NOTA You are welcome to add the NOTA tag to your player name: "/rename myname[NOTA]" A Tag in front of the name represents a Clan and not a Game.
