Higgsfield found its particle! ~126GeV! Will there be negative gravity? Nobody knows, we only know evolution isn't stoppable and so isn't Spring!

Kudos
Again, thanks everyone for your contributions!
This time, special thanks go to abma and his LuaSocket implementation.

Download links:
Major changes:
  • LuaSocket
  • MessageBox for unsupported GPUs (+drivers)
  • fixed ATi PointSize bug
  • LOS et al. are rendered now through the GLSL terrain shader (-> shadows in LOS-view)

Full changelog here.

Maybe I will have some time (pm me in lobby).
Also, you can use SpadsTest if you need an autohost (password: "test").

Code:
! remove modelCenterOffset tag (can now be dynamically set with Lua)

Clarification? (specifically, what callout?)

edit: nvm I see it
Code:
- add new synced callouts Set{Unit,Feature}MidAndAimPos(number id, number mpx, number mpy, number mpz, number apx, number apy, number apz) --> boolean

Tested some; thank you devs for all the nice new features! I especially liked SSMF infotex and lock-on targetting.

Congratulations! It's a real pleasure to see Spring growing up with time passing. :-)

The features sound nice although there is a lot of things broken by this update.

Why are there features like this:
Quote:
- add UI config-variables AutoAddBuiltUnitsToFactoryGroup (def: false) and AutoAddBuiltUnitsToSelectedGroup (def: false)
if the first variable is true, new units auto-inherit their group number from the factory that built them
if the first AND second are true, new units are auto-selected if their factory group is currently selected
It's a trivial widget.

It's been there forever (the first part at least), so why remove it - but it's good to have the default changed now.

Because ZK is already using 89.0, some bug reports get posted here:

QTPFS seems to cause a freeze at game start through spring.exe against nullAI.

I'm curious to see if people experience the infinite loop bug with the Shard in this installer. If people could let me know, to test, launch Shard with BA, if it builds anything at all, it works ( most likely peewee or AK spam ).

Showing build range on BA labs/air repair pads is kinda pointless, is there a way I can disable them?

Will this mean 89.1 or 90.0 is the release that will happen?

Overall the changes seem to polish the engine in quite many ways, and all for the good. I have not encountered the problems described in this thread, so all i can say is: one great release you boys!

You are welcome.

AFAIK 90.0 is the release that will go live.
