Yes, I use them. For me they are an important part of what spring is.Google_Frog wrote:Does anyone still use widgets?

Re: Widget Manager
To me widgetmanager just shows an empty white window, with no widgets shown at all. Do you just extract it to your spring folder?
Edit: read the help menu. Do I need to get springdownloader too from somewhere, or is that just the old name of this app?

Re: Widget Manager
Feature request:
* commandline switch to specify writable data folder (where luaui/configs are and where widgets are to be written)
(for integration with ZKL - it uses multiple engine copies and one common folder for data that can be changed by user).

Re: Widget Manager
I tried to edit the config.xml, but it had no effect. The default one was restored on restart. Same if you edit the settings within the app.

Re: Widget Manager
Sorry guys, due to lack of interest I pretty much stopped all spring related development.
Licho, if you really feel that this feature would be useful for you I will dig that project out and implement it.
@Jools:
Running it in your spring folder should be fine. I just tested it and it works for me. No idea whats the problem in your case :/. Did it auto-update to latest version? Should be 1.1.1.0.
Also which OS are you using?
