I remember old (1998), but magnificent
game: "Monster Truck Madness 2".
In this game all maps are made as a huge sphere
(globe).
And if to move all time is direct, returning to the same
point whence is started movement, but from a underside.
Edges (end) at such maps are not present.
Whether it is possible to make so for "TA Spring" ?

EG pepole don't search for stuff when they strart here, eg the same subjects come again and again and again...

Okay... You are both missing the point, the purpose of things like "MTR" is so we can mock n00bs without them knowing what we are talking about... forcing them to try to figure out what we are talking about... so they can stop being n00bs...

that was a very nice welcome to the idea pple...
umm yeh tho i have suggested it and apparently many before me have.. but the peoples of the forum dont like the idea..

umm its very possible to do just add the code for when u exit left of screen re-appear on the right..
and fiddle with the map and voila..

maybe the idea of being attacked from 4 directions scares people.. also the problem of bigger maps needed.. and for the poor person doing it would encounter a heap of problems..

but none the less i cant see it happening in the near future

BTW IMHO MTR it... put it under "spherical/looping/endless maps"

PS:one of the reasons for the MTR is that some ideas keep getting brought up and it's helpful for people to look back and see what's been said on the subject...

Nah, it's not as easy !
Have you thinked about pathfinding? This cause problem with explosion near the edge too, and certainly a lot more.
And having unit popup at the edge would be totally crapy.

If it' done , it must be done the right way, and not a half working trick.

But I would really have this option !
