Hey Guys,
When I'm playing TA and I press my Mouse5 Key which is my Teamspeak Microphone key, it ends up throwing me out of the game and crashing it. I receive this error:
"Error: Spring: Unhandled exception
Spring has crashed: Access violation."
I am in too much of a habit of using this key so I would love it if someone could steer me in the right direction to get it working and not crashing my game.
Thanks in advance!

I'm going to guess you meant BA = Balanced Annihilation?
Although sounds like it's a game agnostic problem.

Yeah BA sorry. I would really like to be able to fix it because its frustrating me, even if i change my key, i still hit mouse 5 from habit and it just crashes.

I seem to have the same problem. My thread is here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=30621
Re: Mouse 5 Crashes Game
Crosspost from referenced thread... Had this problem consistently reproduce today.
SOLUTION:
In TS3, Settings > Options > Capture... change Capture Mode to "Windows Audio Session." Auto uses a DirectSound hook that causes the exception. I would presume anyone having issues with this without TS3 installed has another application applying DirectSound hooks over Spring.

EDIT: This and changing TS3 to Mouse&Keyboard from DirectInput didn't fix it completely until I used http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMou ... ontrol.htm to disable input from the problem buttons. Try it out.

Re: Mouse 5 Crashes Game
Hi,
i had the same Problem. While Pressing Ctrl + MouseB 5 the Game would crash. Turning off the "BA Waypoint Dragger" widged solved the Problem for me.
Hope this could help

Confirmed and fixed for the next BA (http://imolarpg.dyndns.org/trac/balates ... eset/1306/)NoobFish wrote:Hi,

Calling Spring.GetDefaultCommand inside widget:MousePress causes Spring to crash with additional mouse buttons (clickin mouse 4 while moving the scrollwheel crashed 100% of the time for me)
Thanks for the pointer to the cause
