I propose to play a 1V1 BA tournament next saturday 26-05-2012, starting time at 18.00 GMT (20h local time).

Rules:
Round robin with two groups (or 4 groups depending on numbers of players) then 2 best players of each group go to semi finals.
For example if 8 players sign up.
Group A with 4 players.
Group B with 4 players.
Everyone plays with everyone in each group, there will be 2 independant brackets and seeds for that. 3 rounds in that case with a total of 6 games.
In case of an equality of 2 players, the winner of their match will go on.
In case of an equality of 3 players, tie break and if new equality the faster to win will we qualified.
Game:Balanced Annihilation V7.68
No comdrop on enemy start location in first 10 minutes.
Scoring: Round Robin to start, then semi-finals which is best of 3 and finals best of 5.
Players: minimum 6.
Hosting: use spads hosts, just join and type !preset duel
Seeding: Groups will be done according to elo ranking and randomly for not rated people. If 10 players sign up top 2 ranked players will go directly in next round.
Players leaving: If a player leaves, a bye will be issued.

Not much point writing that if you're not gonna do it

I did it on last tourney, for top 2 players, others had only few games played (Top 1 go group A and top 2 group B).

Hmm ok, I guess it's a little different for round robbin but it doesn't matter anyway much with that setup.

Maps look Ok but I'm not sure about Valley of Unrest V3. I guess it's not a terrible map and it offers some different gameplay but it's not the most interesting of maps to spec games on. If you're 100% sure you want to have it in the tourney, I'd say don't use it in the finals.

I like the different gameplay that map offers, especially for the final, anyway finalist can play other map if they both agree

I though of map Downcount_V1 for another gameplay too but didnt manage to make it work

Now, you have some data, I guess it is time to evaluate the number of players you get according to the day you propose to play the tourney.

(Cause I think Sunday brings more people)
