Now the question arises, can you automatise the atlasing... :D
Behe, you avoid my criticism on the feet. Dont do that...Give it back the feet it came in upon. I know..."OMG the robot is so big, can have so frail feet, that would get destroyed.. "
is what you think. But there is a brink to genious, and it was broken the moment firestorm brought this feet in. Now.. do something else then complete replace.. combine, evolve..Theres goto be a Way you can save the awesome.. without resolving to standard Mad-cat feet.

after playing around with the new sins beta i got in the mood for creating some spaceship models.
This is supposed to be a carrier, but i added quite a number of weapons and turrets... so maybe it will be a destroyer or mother-ship for the third side of ES someday. That is, if I ever will be able to finish a unit again. To lazy for texturing these days -.-
It´s my first try with an unsymmetrical ship-design and it even looks more or less like i imagined it.
Still very WIP, the turrets are just placeholder and the main body needs some detail here and there. Also, it has 15k tris atm: cleaning the unneeded geometry will take some time.

Asymmetry is beautifull... its the same thing as with paradoxes. It unsettles the mind, and still, deep down, while our bio-brain declares it strange and unsettling, if mirrored, this could be twice the beauty.. :)
Some of my Designs go for heavy Assymetry.. because such structures always tell a story of non human origin. Valve wrote about it in there designdocs- if you make it so sleek that it would break - you emphasize the aliennessof the material. If you make it massive beyond grasp, you tell a story of huge factories... If you make it assymetric, you basically show how long this part of humanity has been in space, and how good they know about it by now. No longer ships lifted into orbit, but real spaceships, not giving anything about aerodynamics.
Also, mirroring was alwas just modellerlazyness. No valid Excuses.
I would applaud Lord Muffe, but my hand start bleeding now.. so imagine a low rap to the desk with the head
I had considered them but hadn't counted them yet. If feels like much to me. Maybe I can cut some in details that aren't noticed by others as much as me . And that'll also help keeping someone who might potentially texture it on my good side.
