The mac version loads without problems, but I'm just not sure how I would go about installing something such as kernel panic? I've used spring on mac before, with crossover, but this is different. could somebody please give me a install guide for idiots? I just need to know where the folders are. Thanks.

Download Spring: http://springrts.com/
Download NotaLobby: NotaLobby

Run NotaLobby.app
Select path for Spring_85.app in a window

Games will be downloaded automatically (if autohost can find them) when you join to any battle.

Afaik all the "complete game installers" are atm only working on windows.
At least the ones listed here: http://springrts.com/wiki/GamesDownloads

To play kernel panic on mac you would probally first install the engine.
Then download "Zipped Mod, Maps, and Launcher" from here:
viewtopic.php?f=43&t=27499
(the launcher is win only again but you do not need it)

Move the maps and game .sdz files from the archive into the folders from the engine.
Not sure what the folders are like on mac, but on win it would be like this:
content of kernel_panic_4.4.zip\maps\ goes into into ...\spring\maps
content of kernel_panic_4.4.zip\games\ goes into into ...\spring\games

(might be ~/.spring/games/ not sure)

That will give you the KP game and many maps for it.

Thank you. but I'm not really sure where /spring/games or /.spring/games would be. you wouldn't be meaning inside of the the spring.app would you? Sorry for the inconveniences.

EDIT: Nota lobby is good, but what about single player. I'd manually put the kernal panic data into .spring, would that work? or do I need the tiny .exe?

sorry my knownledge about macs is extremely limited. My only experience with spring on mac is that I once tried it on a friends laptop.

Not directly into .spring but into .spring/games and .spring/maps
(Not sure if those folders exist by default, maybe have to create them)

Then you start the spring executable (is that spring.app? on win its spring.exe) which will show some menu. Select "Kernel Panic" as game and any map. (map does not matter for now)
Then click start and once Kernel Panic is loaded, it will show a real game menu to play single player. (skirmish vs bots and missions)
