Concerning the megaupload arrests, to be fair I have since read that the company was caught red handed knowingly making profits from copyright materials. So they got caught being stupid and help the sopa pipa IP lockdown movement.

anyone without a head in the sand KNOWS megaupload is a massive piracy den.. don't get me started on MEGAPORN one of it's child sites.

It's all about what you can prove, and proving that MegaUpload had full knowledge is going to be very difficult.

Moreover, what the feds have done is illegal. MU was removed from the internet without due process. Not terribly smart.
