I quite like the BAR accronym/name though, just make up new words for the accronym

I agree with name but disagree with the logo. Either needs more future sexy or needs more W40K-style ornate things and obvious wear.

I'd pick a new name. 'Balanced Annihilation' doesn't make much sense, and having 'Remake' implies it's just a copy of some other work, rather than a continuously developing project.

Excellent work on the models! They give a completely refreshed look to BA. It is on par with the best commercial titles out there!

I think the style resembles supreme commander in some way.

If something should be changed i would say tone down the amount of team color. But they are really good as they are :)

edit: Voluptuous Annihilation would at least accurately describe the new look :D

I don't think you should just jam some adjective in front of 'Annihilation' again. Unless it was a real throwback to OTA, like 'Absolute Annihilation' (Seeing that total=absolute).

I did a quick thesaurus check but didn't come up with any good synonyms though.

Imagine if Blizzard went down after SC1, so there was no SC2, and a group of people developed a 3D 'remake' that was actually more of a natural evolution of SC1. After a lot of polish and improvements over the original, and after many years of playtesting, they finally released the game as "BalanceCraft Reloaded".

annihilation is a much nicer word that Craft

we should stick with BAR as the name/acronym people know it and understand it but to a new player there is abit of history if they should look a little deeper

for the logo i was thinking a close up of the new commanders faces red evil core one side and arm/blue/good the other with B.A.R in the center all with really cool/sexy airbrush type shadding

Also can we not have a rip off uber fabtastic logo end up getting used? Its all nice and dandy seeing artwork with big fancy gradients and lense flares and features like the crisis logo but it works pitifully as a base logo design.

Just look at the TA logo, it was great as a special case when large but as a tiny 16x16 or anything below 256x256 it became unwieldy and problematic, think of the cavedog logo ro boneyards as better inspiration.

Again +1 for BAR, just reassign the letters to different words

the ta logo was just the text with a metallic texture not all weird bits the starting screen uses:

indeed, I remember the mini version on the TA site, but it still falls apart below a certain size

was just replying to dave af. I am not here to discuss the BAR logo. I just did that to get people seeing that BAR works on 2 levels in a cool way.

the acronym can MEAN anything was just trying to show that BAR is neat.
