Additionally if there is any stigma attached to EE I would like to avoid that as well. I dont think my thought process is wrong,
The stigma surrounding EE has nothing todo with EE itself, but rather confusion over wether simply referring to EE will result in the almighty shitstorm that you threatened earlier in the thread should people use your content.
Otherwise your other fears regarding people are moot. Most of them are gone, and if you came here under a different guise, even if the entire community vanished and was replaced by one of equal size but different people, they'd still find ti pretty obvious that this new guy ABC messing with XYZ is actually you and EE.
If anything coming back under a guise is likely to incur the wrath of exFGJL members who dont realise who you are, and long term forum posters wanting to avoid a shitstorm. Your biggest obstacle in your plan is not your past detractors, it's yourself.

Forb, the unreasonable thing is that you seem to think the only reason for bad performance is computers not being able to handle the "graphical goodness" but somehow I read stuff like this all the time:

Just as likely imo is that there's a rogue gadget eating your cycles, TFC pointed out that a single S44 gadget was responsible for 20% of his FPS or something
No knorke. You are missing my point. My point is that I myself, running 5 yr old hardware, and run the game at max settings. If you don't have hardware at least as good as mine, you've prolly been doin it wrong. But even so, don't try to block graphical features simply because you can't see them! Ask for an Off switch!
Also, flozi was talking about user side lua. Evo disables (I.e. vfs doesn't even read the user's lua) user lua, therefore it would only be an issue with lua contained in evo. You can start up evo yourself and check out the stats. The only one that gets significantly high is healthbars (why the hell does it eat 11%???), and chili generally eats about 6% (which is still retardedly low). The others are generally hovering around 0.5% or so.

@ Forb, yeah I loved having you guys all around to play my mod, that was the hay day, ;unfortunately that fell apart after I took a hiatus and that is when everything went down hill. I enjoyed that early part far far more than I enjoyed the later part where I had no real support base and instead had random people popping in to give me shit all the time.
Yeah, that little break really screwed the pooch for most of us. Me and deci tried to keep the momentum going, if you remember, but it more or less failed.
Yesterday I probably had the most fun time in forever. Knorke, cucumber, nixa, keiij, gogodancer, and a few otherss jumped on the evo:stable automagical host and mumble and we had many hours of good fun. That was pretty awesome
seriously, this is thing neat. I think that, it is a huge waste these models only spring files sit somewhere and do nothing. can be epic model base for future game devs. Well these are free to use, modify, eat and so on?
EE was, and still is my favorite mod to play. I fire it up every so often just to remember nights spent years ago with several people in this thread. If Fanger doesn't want to work on it, that's his prerogative. As it stands EE is playable and a testament to hard-work in spite of bawwing.
