It's called polish. Some people look for it in the games they play.

maybe i forgot a word so you can understand (ie nice flat white ground with not a single detail, no foot print etc), an rts game is not meant to be nice from a fps view, so we shouldn't show that kind of screenshot, especially on spring which is far from being nice in 2011

The same stuff they use for shoes, in games? Really? No wonder that adventureless companys make it too the top, they just got the hang on how to lick boots...

Srsly, the graphics count for about 10 Minutes, after that its gameplay, so if you can get your customer to stay for that time, you win, no matter how lowsy you get afterwards in one of the disciplines (sightseeing, or gameplay)

This is a gorgeous screenshot, but I would like to see more screenies in the gallery showing off Spring's gameplay, not just glamour-shots. I remember one of the better Spring demo vids included showing off the CustomFormations widget, and I thought that was a fantastic inclusion.

which isn't to say that glamour shots are *bad*, but that a bit of both wouldn't hurt.

I posted it because we have no ssmf shots. You know, the media page actually showing a spring feature? LOL, who does that?

I have some in game shots they look like this pretty much.

I avoid gui because that is wip and one of the weakest areas in spring right now until we all start doing real guis
