Unfortunately at the time of writing this reply the problem still exists. SL requires spring-engine but he is 0.82.6.1 and can't be installed. spring and spring-common are 0.82.7.

Edit:
Packages you posted in the link work but for some reason I can't download maps with this lobby client. It says that it could't locate the file on the remote server, or something like that :P

the problem with maps downloading is more likely to be caused by the new springfiles.com page, not SL.

It's caused by the package dependencies problem. Install spring package and manually springlobby_0.118-0ubuntu1~10.10~ppa3_<your_sys_arch>.deb from https://launchpad.net/~koshi/+archive/p ... hive-extra. This fixed the game for me :)

Where can i manually upgrade spring from, i upgraded springlobby from that link.

Anyone know when the package problems of the updated spring files will be fixed? (Ubuntu 10.10)

Debian Packages of Spring 0.82.7 are available in experimental now http://packages.debian.org/experimental/spring. I successfully tested them on a Squeeze/AMD64 system.

Please remove this for other units too, when they don't get stuck in lab anymore now.
