Would someone with the power please kick the PPA builds into activity?

https://launchpad.net/~spring/+archive/ppa/+packages

looking forward to it

same build issues as before with ubuntu 9.10

# apt-get build-dep spring
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting libglew1.5-dev instead of libglew-dev
Note, selecting libsdl1.2-dev instead of libsdl-dev
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
libglew1.5-dev: Depends: libgl1-mesa-dev but it is not going to be installed or
libgl-dev
Depends: libglu1-mesa-dev but it is not going to be installed or
libglu-dev
libsdl1.2-dev: Depends: libglu1-mesa-dev but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libpulse-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Build-dependencies for spring could not be satisfied.

Question: Which next version of spring will be live?

Seams this version is live now. The lobbyserver requires it. Without any packages being ready. No online pay today. :(

Sorry guys, we released another broken MT build. It was broken during the last-minute fixes for the missing unit icons. I'm testing the fixed build right now.

Edit: Link to fixed MT build below

Aha yeah, I ran into the no icons thing. I have icon distance set to a minimum, so the game was really unplayable lol.

But hey, thanks for fixing. I love that I came back and there was a MT exe that works well...it's very nice.

I've gone without internet in my home for nearly a month and was going to come back and ask if there had been any recent developments and discovered that, lo and behold, the day I got back internet in my home a new version of spring had been released... I'd take this as a sign that I should play more Spring... but really I have so much other internet to catch up on I'll be a while before I get back to it.

Anyways, kudos on the recent releases... I don't know what they are like first hand but their existence warms my heart.

My ancient p4 mobile has just compiled an entire system using a chrooted gentoo over the last 12 hours because nobody has been bothered to kick of the PPA build. It will take me another 24hrs easily to get the wifi+video hardware to work.... race me

I WANT TO PLAY SPRING, cmon I know it just takes one person to log into a website and hit a button

I assure you I'd run windows if it supported the hardware.

No idea if it is known bug, but it seems that occasionally you can see ghosted buildings as spectator:

http://i56.tinypic.com/2vlvcyo.png

Was happening in 0.82.3 too. Especially noticable on turrets or opened factories.
Isn't caused by lua, visible even after '/luaui disable', as seen in the screenshot.

There's something odd with NullAI: http://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=2078

one step closer to 1.0 (hopefully we'll have one main lobby client by then, not three)

the download page should be adjusted in two places:
Quote:
Latest stable version is: 0.82
->
Latest stable version is: 0.82.5

and:
Quote:
git checkout 0.82.3
->
git checkout 0.82.5

for the NullAI problem:
only possible reason for this i could think of right now:
NullAI is the only real C AI (no C++), and possibly the new buildbot/mingwgcc there, fails with how we configure C compiling through CMake right now... so failure coudl be in many places, most likely, something to change in our CMake files, but.. no idea what :/
NullAI works under linux.

Really hope so, really bad towards the games which use them... Even if most people woouldn't notice the difference.

Would be nice to hear, if this will be fixed or if it's even intentional (and the reasoning to do such thing), or do the devs just not care about it.
