So i'm making all these units but i have no names for most of them. I liked TA's naming scheme of giving lower tech units sort of silly names and higher tech ones more aggressive impressive names. So If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them.

Hmm...well I guess a question to that is whats a theme of the PN itself?

It's like the UN, or D.O.O.P, or the federation. Kind of a one world government. That's about all i have as theme..

I was thinking instead of being semi generic i could spice up the names of factories, like instead of Mech Plant and Tank Plant they could be called Mechanized Infantry Barracks and Armored Cavalry Workshop...Plant...Facility.. something. As you can see I did not get very far as i have no idea what to call the air plants or the sea plants.

well you could name them after animals, or historical military figures.

these names may be written there.. somewhere, but nobody will use them.
in the heat of battle:
"noob, do not build that Mechanized Infantry Barracks, this map needs a Armored Cavalry Workshop"
-> wont happen, and no noob will know what MIB or ACW
just saying, not that this is a killer criteria.

It's true that names are a bit of a mouth full but since they are just fluff, I don't really care if none uses them in game. More for my enjoyment i guess.

flamer unit: Charczar, Chartsar, or Charcsar?

I think the one most peeps will get right is Charczar

What do people think about naming units like they name battleships ..at least how i think they do it in the US. Like *insert name of state or historical figure here* class *insert unit type here*

So like Morton Class Tank

would make sense for a UN like agency, naming them after famous people of the agency at times. In the end, Id say thats case by case basis I think.

Theres always the 'Nato reporting name' scheme (used for soviet aerial military equipment)

ie: MiG-23 Flogger (fighter), TU-22M Backfire (bomber), AA-11 Archer (Air to air missile), IL-76 Candid (Cargo aircraft)

essentially pick a letter by role/type, and grab a dictionary and find a word.
