Spring is an engine. It has no direct relation to TA as there are many non-TA games using the exact same engine with completely different styles and gameplay to TA.

What you're saying has been said many a time in the past. This is a hobbyist, open-source project with no desire of profiting or going mainstream/commercial. (Although, the old FAQ may state otherwise :P )

If you want something done properly around here, I'm afraid you're going to have to at least contribute towards it. It's no good shouting out claims and coming up with a bunch of stupid posts as if you're talking to a board of developers or anything.

Also, you don't need to keep blurting out how non-TA game developers should go about getting players or how this community is such fail blah blah blah etc etc. We get the message, it's just we've been sucked way too far into the same circles of fail for a long time now.

Image kind of relevant:

As for the developer : player relationship, CA's developers are its players

I'm not really trying to get anything done with this, I'm just trying to prevent stupid overreaction of things like Argh suggested, it's stupid and won't accomplish anything.

Nah, I'm not saying this community sucks, far from it, or trying to tell them what to do. What developers do is entirely up to them, I'm not trying to control them at all, and I'm not being one of those people going "SPRING IS DYING CHANGE SOMETHING SO WE GET MORE PLAYERS", simply putting in my two cents against a change that probably WOULD have the effect of killing Spring.

I'm primarily a BA player, but I play other mods occasionally and I totally support any developer that's trying to create something new and great.

Case in point. Regardless of quality the non-TA spring games are miniscule and almost never played in comparison to the *A mods, that's the way it's always been and that's the way it will be for a long time.
Spring is minuscule compared to Starcraft. Maybe it's time to stop pretending Spring has any significance. Can't we just close Spring down and join the nearest BGH bot stomp?

Im amused that just because person A can only manage using 1 website at a time, that A then thinks its true that ALL people on these forums are incapable of surfing more than one site at a time.

We have at least 10 sites that failed to utterly destroy the spring community through their mere existence, yet are used a lot, some even use more bandwidth than this community itself.

Spring 1944 has a strong player core and games are played regularly.

Anyway, this thread has run out of steam and relevance.
