Hey everyone! Could we have a sticky (and/or as a second best, a wikipage) where all the currently working UI frameworks are listed (eg this thread...) ? A big bonus would be if they would list pro's and con's as well - though I realise that may be a bit of a sensitive topic.

Requesting this 'cause I'm going to need to look into a Framework for Engines of War sooner or later. And yes - I'm lazy and don't want to have to sift through threads, and give each a spin (necessarily) :P.

well there is mine doesnt really have a name besides gewy.

I think currently available ones are:

chiliui
iceui
redui (lolui but that is deprecated and redui is the framework version)

Decreasing order of good looks, increasing order of performance and epic win.

No idea what you were trying to say by this but:

LolUI is deprecated.

RedUI is in no way related to LolUI other than the similar visual style of widgets I made using either of the frameworks. (and by me being the author of both frameworks)

Well, thanks for the replies. I was hoping for less judgements, and more differentiated Pro's and con's (suprised to say - d_b's post was actually the best in that regard - minus the jugdement at the end...).

How many people here have actually tried to implement their UI gadgets/widgets in two different frameworks and compared? I'm guessing not so many, cause that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid :P. That'd seem the only relatively sensible way to test performance differences to me.

On Looks - with "artwork" like this, it's a matter of opinion as much as anything else, I'd think.

Anyhows, thanks for naming them all - that's definitely a nice start. If anyone can go into more details - in the manner of this framework has trouble with these issues (eg messing around with the minimap display ) , and is strong on this and that (eg making changes to the visual style) - that would be great of course! But like I said, I'm more or less set up now.

Well Mr. jK you fail to have provided me with facts otherwise. I simply thought that since my points have never been refuted that there was no extra effort required on my part.

I don't see a reason why to talk to guys like you at all ...
For all others, I do benchmarks all the time and CHILI IS FAST.

Could somebody post a comparative benchmark and settle this for the time being?
