Re: Working TASClient here
If it would be Python, quite some people could work on it (and it would also be cross-platform).
Re: Working TASClient here
TASClient has python script interoperability :

Re: Working TASClient here
i was just informed by satirik that it isnt his issue and that its unitsync's fault and he wont be fixing it.
Re: Working TASClient here
Yeh, he's right. The Unitsync.dll file has some fail with it.Journier wrote:i was just informed by satirik that it isnt his issue and that its unitsync's fault and he wont be fixing it.

Check the qt lobby thread. In 24 hours you will be getting a lobby that will replace the other lobbies by performing far superior... don't take my word, just download and install it and see for your self. It's rock solid and won't crash, its fast and it is maintained rapidly. Oh, and it has a really slick ui that is fully customizable by 3rd party layout files!
This is the lobby to become the standard after a few more releases. (bear in mind this is a very new lobby)

Re: Working TASClient here
Okay so is there a TASClient that works for Vista users or not? I've been told to grab my maps, mods, demos, widgets, and uninstall Spring, nuke the directory entirely, then reinstall and it will work. Is that true? I don't see people reporting success with that technique in here.
Re: Working TASClient here
if you have the unitsync problem the only known workarround is to use the 0.78 unitsync and ignore the spring version in the ctrl shift f6 window before logging in
if you have any other problem just download the latest version and it should work

Hey Satirik, when using your new 3D map preview before launching a game, sprign is uterly borked. it is all black except water and the selection box, and FPS is 1/10 of normal. i guess something in the OpenGL code you use is not getting reset to a standard when the preview window is closed, or you may just keep some reference to soemthing that spring wants to use and faisl afterwards.
This is with an ATI 9600. When i restart the PC, and do not use the preview, spring runs ok.

Re: Working TASClient here
restarting the lobby without showing the 3d minimap doesn't fix the problem ?
Re: Working TASClient here
yep, that worked too :D
lobby restart is enough.
i was not able to reproduce this with brazilian battlefield, but it always happens with Kolmogorov (which is larger). i did not test with other maps.

Re: Working TASClient here
k testing tasclient on a fresh installed win seven with uac and all the crap by default, the initializing unitsync took few seconds (maybe 20) but it worked like a charm so noobs and newbies ... just be patient

Re: Working TASClient here
I'd love a copy of that build. I'm probably going to upgrade my main PC to Windows 7 RTM "gold" version assuming it becomes available this week.
Re: Working TASClient here
i cannot join a battle, there is a popup:
cannot focus a disabled or invisble window
do how could i reenable it?
edit: reset the options + restart helped, thx satirik for quick response
edit2: so after restarting lobby (up to date 0.5), tasclient closes without showing an error while i want to enter a battleroom

Re: Working TASClient here
k, i could reproduce the bug (while i want to join a game -- tasclient closes)
-move panels within battleroom
-lock them
-restart tasclient
-join battleroom --> tasclient closes itself automatically
fix:
reset panel-layout

fix:
reset panel-layout
