I installed the opensuse11.1 packages for spring, but i can't find unitsync. where is it? (need it for the lobby)

[Edit] Ok, Auswaschbar helped me finding it: /usr/lib/libunitsync.so

That's... not a lot of computers that were actually capable of Spring. Your specs?

now think of all the poor children in africa, whichs only good thing in life was to be able to play 5 min of 1 FPS spring per week on their schools only computer!
I feel so guilty to be part of this now! :/

A non-SSE compliant cpu would never be able to run spring even if it was recompiled without SSE instructions, simply because its sloooooooooow

I played/developed on a thunderbird until late 2007/early 2008. Admittedly I haven't run spring on that comp since then but the last time I did it handled everything pretty much fine at low-medium online and was playable enough for eyecandy with higher settings (like refractive water, shadows, etc).

we only require SSE in 2009 so IMHO it's fine ;p

I think you're confused. Your Phenom has SSE through SSE4A.
