I wouldn't accept anything other than PNG 24-bit for the renders. The engine would have to be modified, but I could care less at this point. We need to make this game look "great", to say the least. You can't do that with palettes.

I would like it if the "Map Tab" would have a diferent colour (Red/Orange/Yellow) in case anything not default would be set or any unit disabled or limited.
"Ho, i didn't knew Brawlers were disabled!?", you get the picture...
The same for the "Disabled Button".

In the chat (don't know if it is already implemented), i would like to see the name of the player that comes before the message to distinguish from the message so to ease the reading. Either boldness or a diferent colour.

Also, if it allowed to show the time at which the message was sent (like GAIM), it would be nice. (extremely not worth it if more than some 20 mins of work are needed to implement)

:shock: OMG that'd be sooo funny. A CORE player builds a small ground force to distract/annoy his enemy whilst he rushes rapiers (quite effective strat btw!) then...OMG i can't build rapiers...shit....what am i gonna do??? 8) that'd be pretty funny :twisted:

I plan to impliment some system to allow players to easily see changes that have been made. Hopefully it will be in the first version!

I have many plans for the Chatroom, and I am generally a design oriented person. Making the chatboxes easy to read is very important to me. When I am done you should be able to change it yourself though. =)

Timestamps probably aren't too hard to impliment, but I doubt they will be in the first version.

NICE! now thats a pro GUI. Hopefully it works to^^

I like the Gamebox one, but i dont think it would suit for a logo. The metal one looks nice, the best i think. The one whit the strange guy in desert... Maybe if we changed it into a shooter or maverick or something.

although most of these arent really needed, i would find most to be pretty handy...

-option to autoconnect at startup
-autodisconnect when idle for a certain amount of time, this would save needless usage of master server resources
-option to close/minimize to system tray
-option to start with windows (minimized to tray or not)
-map size not shown in map title (the title could be very long and push the size out of view), maybe put it its own little box above description
-load/save system for disabled units (if you play with a friend alot and always use the same units it would be a pain in the arse to change it each time)
-option to have a splash screen at startup (you could include the few that have been shown already... imo they are all of very high standards...)
-perhaps a feature that allows you to offer screenies (or other pics) as an upload, or show previews in the chat window which can be clicked to upload, like msn (could this be done with the current upload system?). this would be great to share some funny moments after a game.
-would it be possible to add keybindings to the game settings gui, this would make it so much easier to change controls, and much more user friendly (also save/load function for multiple users...)
-the ability for host to cause a default system sound/taskbar button to flash, for users that arent responding (very annoying when this happens)
-could there be some stats (in a status bar perhaps) that show the total number of users connected to the master server/in games/in chat
-an autodisconnect function for games (that havent started) that have been inactive for a certain period of time... this isnt really that important, but when more people start playing could be useful
-maybe have a 'stats' dialogue in the 'about' option in the lobby window. this could show:
=games played/forfeited/disconnected/won/lost/spectated
=user you have played/lost to/won to/allied with/shared with/been enemies with the most
=days/hours/mins/secs you have spent online/playing
=win/loss ratio
=player ranking. something like: juggernaut of n00bishness, borderline n00b, average, solid opponent, challenging opponent, veteran, unstoppable, godlike (shit... last few sound abit like ut) or your could rank by units: peewee --> kroggy

i can understand that alot of this is just wishful thinking and may never be included but i would appreciate some feedback on some of my ideas... i would particularly like the stats dialogue to be included, since (im hoping) it shouldnt be too difficult to implement and it would be so cool to see yourself climbing the ranks... i guess a global ranking system would be implemented sometime to show universal rank, but this would still be cool to have.

EDIT: since there are plans to eventually replace the existing ota models with new (more awesome) ones, i think we should use the standard ota rendered images until they are all complete and agreed on, then renders could be made...

Those are actually good ideas. The minimize to the taskbar idea is a really great idea. I don't know if it can be implimented, but it probably can be.

The map title will not be longer than a certain amount. This is to discourage people from making really long map names which could potentially cause bugs either way. As of yet I don't know how long a map name could be, but we will see. The cool thing about the type of dropdown box I used, is that it dynamically changes based on the longest string in it.

I can probably impliment a command system. I already was planning on implimenting private messages.

/stats
/whisper (or /w)
/r (whispers to the last person you recieved a private message from)
/time

This won't work while you are playing games though. Private messaging should at some point though.

I plan on implimenting Idle event systems to notify the host when someone is being an AFKer.
