This time we leave XTA and tests out StarWarsTA on a map that might seem strangely familiar. So click here to see how the empire springs back (warning 30 meg). For the bandwidth impaired some of the action can also be seen on a few new screenshots.
:D wow, thats really cool, I can't wait for the beta to come out, I was wondering(just suggesting) if you could put a list of things to be done on the site, the big stuff only. (just asking)
Well now I'm gonna try and make my own unit(s) =/ just so I can see them in 3d, thx for finally geting me into it, a step foward to more coding... which is sort of scary for me.

Dude, those aren't shadows, those are reflections : ) And as a note, shadows are considerably more expensive - they slow things down alot. If you guys got some quick way to do it, that would be cool though. As of now, those reflections look damned good if you ask me.

yah i was wondering about the shadows too, is not yet implimented in the engine yet, or turned off for testing pruposes? i mean if it really lags the game up so much you could probably improvise with 2d shadow images each unit has of itself? or something!?
after all, when the beta version will be available, TA Spring will be like video1 and 3 or it will look like the StarWars thing (video 2) ?
really good work man
Let me just say i'm very impressed that these units work so well with TA:S top notch stuff i cant wait for the first release. I really liked how the units fought in the air and how the tie-fighter crashed into the building taking it out of action. Keep up the good work!
