Better then yours does. Mine seems imperfect, like tagged by a rebel. Yours looks too machine made.

Maybe ugly, but at least mine is not just a MS-Paint job but actually implemented, working, released.

Main menu:

Skirmish Generator:

Mission listing:

The background is just here to hide the game. By commenting a few lines I can get:

Yes, the battle in the background is automatic, doesn't involve any human player. Yes, I can get that to automatically show up when you run a shortcut to "Spring special_menu_startscript.txt". Still need a few tweak to issue a /hideinterface and have the menu still shows up, to have a better background fight, etc..., but basically, it's not just doable but done. Only problem, is that I don't know how to get a working multiplayer button.

@zwzsg: I never really appreciated the awesomeness of the KP menu until now. :o

@Chaoslord: Keep trying! It's a good start, but yo need to learn a bit more about aesthetics if you want to make something truly attractive. Try colors apart from gray and green, patten/scanline effects, and nicer edge designs. Also, what you're showing us now is just an image, perhaps try learning more about Lua so that you can make it a reality!

Most importantly, keep trying! I'm rooting for you! :-)

I ported my single player system, frontend and installer, to Gundam.
Note: This is not a still picture!

There can be music, sure.

There can't be video, but those units can be given orders so that they automatically perform a show for you.

@smoth, Please program awesome idle animations for a couple of your units so that they look awesomer when they are standing there looking pretty for a menu screen... I'd suggest juggling tanks, hula-hooping with energy rings and playing with giant sci-fi-Yo-Yos... also... GundamRTS needs more MEGAS!!!

Yeah,that sounds cool.
I was unsure if that was just a picture or real time rendering.
could you have an entire replay playing at the back than?

I revised the music widget not long ago yan. It was posted in the lua forum and will be in the next version of gundam along with zwzsg's menu.

Spring replays are not compatible between Spring versions, so the whole replay would have to be re-recorded everytime Spring version upgrades. That's why replays would be a bad idea. That, and replays end. Instead, I use my mission & save Lua thing, which can do a neverending staged battle.

Edit: I added some sort of idle animation, by adding an enemy factory that keep sending trucks for the gelgoog to shoot at. But sound got annoying, so I hacked up the ViewPoint field in the startscript so that it mutes Spring. Fixed various things in the mod gadgets and installer in the process.

I know.
SA uses the old one but a working version.
I'd probably update to yours if yours could somehow deal with the sudden song shift weirdness(or can it now?).
also Id probably have to rework it into the lolui in SA so the SAlolui could use its music volume slider with your music widget.
