I propose to play a 1V1 BA tournament next saturday 12-05-2012, starting time at 19.00 GMT (21h local time).

Rules:
I saw that some people were eliminated very fast in first round, that can be frustating so i change it to round robin with two groups (or 4 groups depending on numbers of players) then 2 best players of each group go to semi finals.

For example if 8 players sign up.
Group A with 4 players.
Group B with 4 players.

Everyone plays with everyone in each group, there will be 2 independant brackets and seeds for that. 3 rounds in that case with a total of 6 games.
In case of an equality of 2 players, the winner of their match will go on.
Game:Balanced Annihilation V7.68
No comdrop on enemy start location in first 10 minutes.

Scoring: Round Robin to start, then semi-finals which is best of 3 and finals best of 5.
Players: minimum 6.

Hosting: use spads hosts, just join and type !preset duel

Seeding: Groups will be done according to elo ranking and randomly for not rated people. If 10 players sign up top 2 ranked players will go directly in next round.

Players leaving: If a player leaves, a bye will be issued.

The brackets are gonna be a bit complicated and I'm not sure how Challonge is gonna handle it. You should make a test bracket or two on there and do a pretend one to make sure you know how you're going to use Challonge.

Well i didnt manage to make all that in one challonge bracket. It seems challonge dont handle mixed tournaments. So i will make a different bracket for each group and one for the final phase (the one on this thread).

What the heck, I'll sign up to get owned

I added a new preset in my hosts specifically for 1v1 tourneys, it's called "duelTourney". So instead of typing "!preset duel" you can type "!preset duelTourney" (it will show links to this forum thread and challonge page to the players joining the battle).

I also added 2 hosts temporarily (Spads5-6) which use this new preset as default preset (you don't need to change preset on these ones).
