Hello, spring on mac osx?
I ve downloaded the sourcecode spring_0.78.2.1_src.tar.gz , dont know what to do with it, c++, glew, sdk, sdl, xcode, god dam it.
I allready have found a 0.76b1 Spring to play in singelplayer, looks great. But where can i find the battleroom, like in the other operating systems.
As far i i can see, i compile this spring_0.78.2.1_src.tar.gz, with parameters and variables and stuff and then i get a dmg - mac installable file, right?
If this produces the same programstructure like in windows, there is a battleroom for multiplayer, right?
Can some one who knows what he is doing, compile this for osx 10.4 and promote it on the spring mainpage, please!

If you actually manage to compile it, all you get will be a bunch of executables and libraries. You still need to install springlobby seperatly (don't know if they have prebuild binaries for mac).

prebuilt binaries (as far as I know) don't exist at the moment.

This is mainly because none of the spring devs own apple computers

(Although a little bird told me that the folks at springlobby ( http://springlobby.info , koshi and braindamage on the forums) do want a person with a mac for testing mac builds       )
