This thread's topic should be renamed to something like "GSoC -- 6 Days Left!" so people reading the new posts list will know what it's about.

We should also get rid of the circa 2010 threads.

google wrote me a mail, springs application to gsoc wasn't accepted this year. they received many more applications for the program than they were able to accommodate.
