Hide my country

Post by Fuel »

Hello all,

Is there any way I can hide my country such that it is not visible for other players, no matter which lobby they are using?

Thanks.

You put shame on all of whatTheFuckIstan. Why hide your nation, your place of birth, you un-patriotic s********. Others heavily depend upon there feeling of selfworth for this, they need guys like you to wave there flags for, so to feel as if the accomplished something with you. Do not deprive them of this. I for once were our blueflag, with the white question mark high over my head.
You should do the same.
Do not allow, ever, anyone to look down on you.

Just ignore Picasso, he probably didn't intend to insult you, but neither you nor I are capable of understanding the riddles he speaks.
Also, never generalize.
Regarding the question, no idea, it may require changes to the spring server, but it's probably not very hard to gain it anyhow, as it's contained in your IP.

LOL, another insult.

I'm not capable of understanding what he speaks?
Are you all like that in this community?
Seriously I'm disappointed.

FYI, in case you didn't know it's my right to allow the country to be listed or not, have you recently heard about rights for privacy?
There are tons of websites\forums which allows you to make your info public or not.
This kind of feedback when someone comes and discuss about privacy is ridiculous.

It's not my fault racism is so vivid right now. Go insult racist people not me, you little ignorants.

.. thats my barrel of fuel, doing a roll. Nothing like the smell of napalm in the morning...

No, there is no right to hide your country. This would render all that racism pointless, the endless noob amerigo vs old europe bashings, the arab vs israeli controversy.. ;)

Now, lets deduce from which country you are. You polarize people all over the world, you want to hide yourself.

I guess swiss.
Wrong?
Second guess...
North Korea.
Wrong again? This proofs to be a hard one. Last and final guess. Oh, now i understand.. diffrent planet altogheter?
Moon Valle Marinaris? Oh, those Moonies.
Still wrong?

I recomend ductape on the screen. Ductape hides all the countrys.

Your country is calculated using a public ip to country translator. If you want to hide your country, you can connect to the lobby using a proxy in a different country. We otherwise do not and will not provide tools to hide your flag.

Niether gajop nor Picasso insulted you, btw. Takes a while to be able to decode Picasso's posts.

I don't think it's that unreasonable of a request. Also a bit surprised that it took 9 posts before a polite and clear answer was given. Really guys?

Also, you actually insulted the community before they insulted you.
In fact, you somehow felt offended by gajop's post too.
FYI, in case you didn't know it's my right to allow the country to be listed or not, have you recently heard about rights for privacy?
No its not. You agreed when you registered your account on spring lobby.
There are tons of websites\forums which allows you to make your info public or not.
The lobby is not a website, it actually requires non centralized computers to connect to each other for playing and message relays in the lobby.

I like to be able to see other people's country. It makes the playership (is that a word?) more transparent by making it easier to detect smurfs, and therefore it makes the conmmunity a bit friendlier.

Spring community is really quite friendly in comparison with others. The first replies were full of irony, not insulting.

I can't believe that my 2nd or 3rd post on this community in 6 years turned out a real shit storm. I mean, WTF.
I recommend some people go get few cold showers and get laid.
Now I really want to go and find a proxy.

Note that using proxy will likely result in a ban.

Picasso's obvious sarcasm was obvious. Grow a pair and stop taking everything so seriously. From reading 3 words in picasso's sentences it's obvious that English is his 2nd or 3rd language.

Gajop was saying "Ignore Picasso, because sometimes what he says is so out there that no one can understand wtf he's saying" (although picasso is quite often really funny :-).

Also, trying to avoid a ban will just get you banned harder.
