Anyone can play a ladder game against anyone, the ladder uses Glicko rating system to determine scores. Message !score 3 to LadderBot to see current standings.
Ladder game rules:
-Commander ends no draw -Show enemy wrecks -Ghosted buildings -Diminishing metal makers efficiency OFF -Undeformable map OFF -Limit D-gun range OFF -No unit wrecks OFF -No metal extraction OFF
("Com ends no draw" is the only value you have to change yourself when hosting a new game, others are BA defaults)
Starting energy and metal are 1000. No commander drop to enemy start position in first 10 minutes. There is no limited list of ladder maps yet but there will be in the future.
Only 1 account per person for ladder games.
Instructions to start a game: Join a battleroom where you plan to play your ladder game. Send PM to LadderBot saying !ladder 3 To check if you have valid options, say !checksetup When the game ends LadderBot records the result automatically.
Moderation: If someone breaks the rules, or other stuff goes wrong, PM me or another ladder moderator here or in lobby. My lobby nick is [PinK]Johannes. Rulebreakers will receive punishments at the moderation teams whim. Also looking for other moderators, ask me about it and I might let you in. I might even ask you if youre a cool and reliable guy! Then you get to not only to listen whining people, but also add maps to maplist once theres a maplist to start with.
Later theres coming website and other cool stuff. Ask if you have a good question.
Also thanks for making the ladder bot to BrainDamage & rest of the people involved.
You can start playing right away!

Can you be a little more specific? Generally my playstyle in ba 1v1s especially on large maps involves putting early and quick pressure on my opponents using stunners, atlases, and my commander, with a combination of dgunning, fps, and capture. In addition I believe "start position" is really irrelevant except as a place where you spawn into the game because with my experiments with BA 1v1 gameplay, I find that it is really quite effective to set up a dynamic and decentralized base with BA's economy.
Sure, maybe some people think flash and gator spam is fun, but maybe i have been playing for too many years and the flash tank has just lost its novelty. I enjoy taking bigger risks and using more than just ground assault and brute force/spam to win.
Basically just dont land where his starting mexes/lab are, where you could dgun those immediately. It unfortunatly cant be defined exactly for every map with a common rule, but youre still allowed to make a landing a bit further away.
Its to stop people from making a start of just rushing to dgun lab asap, which is mostly a coinflip on what start your enemy made and would reduce the amount of viable different start options.
Im pretty sure it never improves both ratings. There might be some bugs in the bot, and catching ladder abusers is a bit harder when the bot doesnt give totally detailed match list but its still in kind of beta phase. But why abuse the ladder by giving free wins to someone or whatever, when theres the option of just spec cheating every game thats actually harder to spot, and I dont think spec cheatin/map hack is that common either.
