According to the intertrucks, AA is currently at version 5.2 or something. I PMed cup several times to get these marked as "unofficial" but I guess he's on an anti-censorship campaign. Anyways, it seems it will need to be renamed or subtitled.

Something like "reloaded" but not stupid and overdone. Any ideas? I swear if anyone says "revolution" there will be blood.

You could go with something like Absolute Annihilation Cadyr's Version or Original Branch but that is not very imaginative.

Maybe I could do a Coke and call it "Classic"?

Well.. I could be reasonably sure there aren't any versions that high I guess ;)

and then for people "in the know" we just know that 26 comes after 2.5 right?

CLassic AA. do not want! tbh you shouldnt have to change the name of YOUR mod because OTHER PEOPLE have been using the name WITHOUT asking. tbh all of the non-officiall releases should have "UNOFFICIAL RELEASE" plastered all over them.

Cant use abolition until I've merged the mods together (breaking the borders, etc...)

I might use "True"? So until I've exceeded version 6 or so it would be Absolute Annihilation, True 3.0.

I thought about using Authentic or Canon, but Authentic sounds too egotistical imo and Canon might get non-nerds confused, since the only common usage of "canon" outside of geek circles is in terms of holy books and such... then it would be the "abolition" fuss all over again.

"NO ****ING KIDDING" comes to mind. But this is what it's come to.

|A|?

Here's a mockup of the "true" idea, what do you think? Lets see if I can get those image tags working without admin intevention this time...

(AHA! I've figured it out! I keep on hitting IMG twice because that's what you had to do in PHPbb v2, then I erase the second set but I'm actually deleting the closing halves of two tags rather than one whole tag.)

Skip to version 6.0. Anyone old enough to remember AA knows why its versions 6.0 now, and anyone not old enough to remember AA wont care.
