Hello modders and developers!
I'm trying to convert my heightmap, texturemap and metalmap to .smt and .smf. AFAIK it does convert correctly because I do get those two files, but I also get some errors:

Code:
C:\beherith_mapconv_2.4>MapConv -i -c 0 -x 250 -n 25 -o Icy_Shell.smf -t t.bmp -a h.bmp -m m.bmp -f f.bmp -z "nvdxt.exe -dxt1a -nmips 4 -Sinc -quality_highest -file" -l

Things that do not work: mini map, and the main texture. (Mini map is automatically generated from the main texture, right?)
Sometimes it's completely black with weird texture tiles. After a few tries it sometimes is just completely filled with a texture I have not used.

Right now it looks like this:

Yet strangely enough, the metal map and height map both work correctly:

I am using an ATI video card, might that be the issue, or is there something else going on?

The minimap is created in two steps, so if you want to it updated, delete mini.dds and mini.bmp. Also the map texture corruption is usually the result of a naming conflict. Make sure there is no identically named map, and that you don't have an sdz or sd7 withthe same name as an sdd either

Thanks for your response.
I have tried removing all the .smf, .smt and mini.bmp files I could find in the folder and then converting again, without any luck.

I have the exact same issues as I described before. Mini map is still black and the texture in-game is corrupt.

It seems like the issues have disappeared after I had unpacked the converter zip again in another location. I think I messed up something when I was extracting the converters.

I was trying out 4 converters:
http://springrts.com/wiki/MapConvNG - NG version 32 and 64 bit both did not work
http://springrts.com/wiki/MapConv - default version did not work

Working converter for me: http://springfiles.com/spring/tools/map ... lines-hack
