Anyway, ever since Spring 0.85 (portable install), SpringLobby would randomly crash (it would send a debug log) for me on exiting or accessing Spring Settings. This only happened rarely, so I never bothered to check on the problem until I updated to Spring 0.87 (also portable install). Previous to Spring 87, everything more or less worked.
Now, it always crashes on attempting to access Spring Settings and whenever I close it. It also freezes upon loading a multiplayer game. It actually gets into the game, loads everything, counts down, and then nothing happens. The mouse still moves, but nothing else does, and Task manager says it's not responding.
This also happened in Singleplayer, until I switched to a not-portable install. It now works for singleplayer.
I've updated and rolled back my drivers, but that did absolutely nothing. I'd try the command line thing, but I'm not sure how to do that.
I let the game sit for about 10 minutes, and it actually loaded, although it had a bunch of errors in the console. The infolog is basically one long list of repeating errors...
Any suggestions? I'm drawing a total loss here...
Oh, and the lobby actually updated itself for once. I don't know why it pretended to until now.
Ah. I tried that before, must have missed the second - in --safemode.
That...just causes Spring to say that my computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements. Which it say on occasion, but I just restart Spring/Springlobby, and it generally doesn't say it anymore. Except in this case.
EDIT: Got Spring to load, but it did the same thing - completely froze on load.
