Got the new 0.85 mac build, and it runs and BA 7.63 works. Does have a new bug though, there's some weird directional smearing. See screenshots attached to post.

Also as in previous versions, when trying to play some games (Zero-K & Cursed for example) they load, run for about 3 seconds, and then spring crashes. Infolog is at http://pastebin.com/HPvMgT8L

Ideas on how to fix would be great... Thanks!

Turning off grass made the graphic oops go away, but Cursed and Zero-K still crash (as always for me) within 5 seconds of the game starting.

As another fun bit, since upgrading to 0.85 PA now does not spawn a commander and is unplayable.

I'd sure love to play something besides BA.

can you add an infolog.txt with a crash/stacktrace please?

The infolog is attached to the start of the thread (the pastebin link). Not sure how to get you a stacktrace?

each time spring is started infolog.txt gets overwritten. http://pastebin.com/HPvMgT8L looks like it didn't crash, or the file is cut off?

when you start spring from console, does it show the line:

"Spring 85.0 has crashed..." ?

(this line should be in infolog.txt, too...)

I don't know what to say other than that is the infolog from the crash, and it is the entire file, un-truncated.

For grins here's another one running spring from the console. http://pastebin.com/gVxmVTbd

this helps a bit:

Code:
Illegal instruction

that wasn't in infolog.txt. i'm unsure why this error happens, searching for that it seems that either you are running a G3? or the stack is full?

i've currently no idea how to fix that.

Hmmm, nope not a G3, it's a late 2011 Macbook pro, 2.3 Ghz i5, 4GB RAM, Intel HD 3000 GPU, running 10.6.8.

I do have a lot of graphics options turned off because the intel card just doesn't support them. Whatever it is it's something that Zero-K and Cursed do that BA doesn't?

you can try to disable luashaders if its not already disabled... and try to disable other gfx related settings...

zero-k / cursed afaik heavily use lua-shaders / lua-code...

More than the 384 megabytes that I have?

Maybe I'm just old, but that seems like an absurd amount to me.

If VRAM is the problem try texture compression in SpringSettings if you haven't already.

384 Mb of vram is nothing. Also, integrated graphics, isn't (In other words, "Integrated Graphics" is an oxymoron (obviously there are a couple of exceptions, but yours is probably not one of them).
