Path file error

Post by eyu100 »

It says it couldn't open the path file, but why does that cause it to crash? Shouldn't it just create a new one? I deleted all of my spring files (I think) and this wasn't fixed. Also, this map was working for me just a few days ago... This happens both when I run Spring directly and in SpringLobby. I tried with the single-threaded version, and nothing changed.

i'm unsure why this happens. you could try to set HardwareThreadCount=2" in springsettings.cfg.
or use the singlethreaded one. spring-mt is really alpha-software.

the error message is miss-leading: "Error opening cache\paths\Dworld_V11732731361.pe.zip" means, this file doesn't exist, it has to be created...

Not quite the same error like the OP, but an I'm missing this file:

Code: Select all

[f=0000000] Error opening cache\paths\Supreme Battlefield3637163451.pe.zip
[f=0000000] Spring 0.82.7.1 (0.82.7.1) has crashed.
The full log is here: http://www.twins4ever.dk/files/Spring/infolog.txt

This is a clean install of 0.82.7.1. Do I need to install anything else to see the game runs on my pc?

Thanks in advance.

this looks like the same error, please try the same...

(HardwareThreadCount=2" in springsettings.cfg )

added to the wiki: http://springrts.com/wiki/FAQ:trouble#S ... nfolog.txt

to change that: Start spring.exe, click "Edit Settings", Select "HardwareThreadCount", and lower it, Or edit springsettings.cfg with an texteditor: located in %USERHOME%\Local Settings\AppData\springsettings.cfg or next to spring.exe or ~/.springrc on linux
