I have a rather strange problem (as you can figure out from the title ..).
When playing spring v84 with BA v7.60, my computer simple turns itself off.
As extra information i have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 on a Asus StrikerExtreme mainboard. My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti.

Since playing Spring with BA is the moment this behaviour occurs i'm hoping someone on this forum can help me out.

Hoping for many future hours lost in BA, i hereby greet ye all Commanders!

Hi,

Do you overclock your PC ?
Is it only with Spring ?

You should use before an utility like "cpu burn" or something else to stress your CPU and be sure it is stable, and don't overheat (security rason on powering off)

Also, install monitoring tools to check temperatures and fan speed.

Re-start cpu burning / spring and monitor all of this.

After this test ok, maybe some1 could help you.

You should give more information : Windows or Linux ?

Thank you for your reply.

Overheating probably won't be the problem i think, since the highest temperature that the HWMonitor tool registered for today's gaming-session was 57°C, and that was my graphics card.

My OS is Windows 7 64bit version. Additionally i have DirectX 11 installed.
It is a non over-clocked system, and the problem has only occurred with Spring and BA. Other games that i have played recently include Mount&Blade Warband, DDO Eberron Unlimited and CoD:MW3. And none of these show this behaviour.

The cpuBurn tip i will follow to see what it will tell me.
