Every third attempt spring freezes on start

Im getting this:
- spring often freezes on start without ability to view its window (minimized).

- only way to fix it is to start spring.exe from commandline. First attempt causes freeze too (but with window displayed). Second attemt makes it load properly! And then i can play one game without fear of freeze :)

This is since 0.79

I run spring windowed

It seems to happen often if i have other windows on top while spring starts. Almost 100% certain with windowed media player etc..

This just started happening to me. Spring windowed will start minimized, and the window is blank forever. Works fine in fullscreen.

Window mode works fine under Linux (even with recent engine and CA versions)

But this *just* started happening to me today, even after reboot. I had recent CA changes and latest spring for over a week work fine, and suddenly this happened. Something occured to make the window minimize, and appear blank (when I restore and look at it) in windowed mode. It sounds just like what Licho is describing so I wonder if something could occur to spring's script or whatever that causes this.

I had this issue, it just started happening suddenly, but after my problem described here http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=19162 and the measures i took to correct it, this freeze bug also went away. (at least has not happened during many games, i will edit this post if i stumble upon it again)

It's very frustrating to mod while in fullscreen. Alt-tabbing is very slow.

I deleted my springsetting.cfg and it seems that it resolved the issue. There's the infolog before that (when the spring still bugged at start) in case it helps resolving the issue without deleting the springsettings.cfg
