My favorites are Yahtzee(British game reviews), Checkpoint (snarky news), and Gamerzsnark/Hadriex (reviews good underhyped games)

I hate game reviewers.

They seem less about the game and more about either mainstreaming LOL MONEYS/contrarian hipster douches. I have not found a single reviewer to give fair or open perspective on games.

i think that when i want a game review, i just got to IGN or something like it where it aggregates scores from people who go onto the site to vote, then self-edit the score down 20% because most games these days are just terrible anyways.

Made this a while ago, as you can see an 'average' game gets a rating of 75%.



The high score peak (97% iirc) is twice as tall for xbox360.

It represents the "payed for a good review" scores.

but seriously. those review charts want me to poke my eyes out. so many bad games getting good scores.

GB skyrim review: skyrim is great skyrim is awesome skyrim is great skyrim is awesome skyrim is great skyrim is awesome All the previous bethesda games are worse than skyrim. Skyrim has engrossing story for all 1k quests. The leveling is streamlined. Combats still not that great. Also has bugs.

Edit: waitaminute! the problem isn't "Sky...eat" its that the review requires 5 sentences to get all its real points across.

Well, in the case of Yahtzee I give that a pass because his reviews are so genuinely hilarious that nobody actually cares about the game or not. Anybody who goes to zeropunctuation for a review is silly... the guy basically doesn't' care about anything but a single-player sandbox experience, so his "reviewing" is worthless., but he's consistently entertaining.
