on the spring mane site there are only a few games listed but when i take a look at springfiles there are loads.
My question is are the games listed on springrts.com the only ones which work with the current engine? if not could we have an updated list of the current games please?

The games listed on the games page are pretty much all the games that are actively supported, so YMMV with anything else you happen to find on springfiles.

Why is CA on your current list?

CAI is the best bot for Zero-K and it requires no separate download to install.

Latest stable xta is 9.66, and the latest beta is 9.665 beta. The beta is the most played version is can be considered as the latest release. And it's quite stable. A new version will be released in conjuntion with spring 0.83.

In Conflict Terra if you select drone faction as your opponent and YSMAI as the AI you should have a fight on your hands. YSMAI comes as part of the game.

you can play both ES games with the newest RAI.

Spacemaps, well http://springfiles.com/spring/spring-maps/cosmos works fine with ES.

I do enjoy typos.

But seriously, if you're wanting to play CT then you may like the Starter Guide here: http://code.google.com/p/conflictterra/wiki/StartsGuide2

and you should pick from one of our maps, found here: http://code.google.com/p/conflictterra/wiki/MapOfficial

Evo has the survival AI built in. If you to play an actual game, try shard.

Spring Tanks:
play singpleplayer: comes AI, pre-configured battle and SP menu:
http://springrts.com/wiki/Spring_Tanks# ... _Player_AI
latest version is 5.2: http://springrts.com/wiki/Spring_Tanks#Get_the_game

Generally all the games on http://springrts.com/wiki/Games are playable.

All other spring games you can find somewhere else, either
a) do not work with current engine version
b) are not really that interessting to normal players because they are not really games but some tech demos or test thingies
c) have no manual and so it is hard to set up a game the correct way (ie what maps work)

So while technically those games might work, it will require some willingness to experiment and only in some cases is imo worth it.
