They shan't. I have a copy of everything now and I'll be setting things up when I'm ready. The underlying tech is also being improved.

Springinfo.info is now in my hands. Forboding has started the domain transfer, it will take 7-10 days for completion.

I'll be setting up a basic install probably at the weekend of my aggregation code, this should correct some things, but there is still much to be done

A basic aggregation setup is now installed and pulling in content.

So far however I've only added 4 feeds, I've no indication of when it'll be pulled in on this sites frontpage

Yar ok. I had to do something to keep track of them all. Not all of them see much traffic, and it's a damn shame that youtube video feeds are so weird.

Btw, feed aggregation on feedburner and this siteare correctly pointed at springinfo now. Sorry I was so slow on it. Didn't realize I needed to re-point it until it hit me a little bit ago.

AF you should definitely add more feeds. Atm all the top news items are evo news items. Also, you should add the evo gplus feed. I use that as basically a dev news platform (as posting on the main site is a painful experience).

i think it was better when clicking the news linked you to the original page instead of this "springinfo landing page"
eg "Zero-K v 1.0.7.0" used to link to the zero-k website, now when you click it there is no download and all that.

I like it when you start building a house and people are like "but you get wet when it rains" and I'm like "Its a construction site, I haven't built the roof yet, duh"

or

"Mummy the meat tastes wrong theres all red inside it"

"Get your head out of the oven damnit"

I was just pointing out that I agreed with him. I'm not telling you what to do, nor am I complaining (he might be, but I'm not).

The permalinks are now set to the original source

Next:

  • Add more feeds
  • Add more templates for post listings ( image based listings, title only, etc )
  • Setup pages for individual games

There are also questions about content that need addressing, such as what to do with the Gundam feeds, add them and make it clear the project is dead? A brief honourable mention linking to smoths new projects? What about Emmannuel? All his youtube videos are public, and they can always have their own little section Is it BA or BAR? Or both as separate entities? When will the Zero-K feed start using actual markup?

I would but hidden politics is preventing it.

You see this site isn't pulling the news directly from springinfo, it's pulling it from forbs feedburner RSS. This si all fine and good until a certain AF hasn't put Forbs Google+ in the list of feeds springinfo pulls.

Every day I look on the frontpage to see if my aggregation is being used, or forbs original one. You can tell which is which because mine prepends all the titles with where the feed comes from, so all springfiles uploads are prefixed with SpringFiles: etc Forbs aren't.

Having said that, I do not have your youtube currently in the list, mainly because it would mean I'd need to manually sort through since your youtube doesn't just have spring videos, it needs to be pulled in as pending review so I dont end up with Open Red alert videos and 'other' things, whereas stuff like conflict terra can auto-publish.

The main Zero-K feed is beign pulled in mind, as you can see here:

http://www.springinfo.info?p=387

Note I've had to use the query var based URL as the pretty permalinks would redirect you to the relevant zero-k thread ( yet this doesn't stop spambots attempting to leave trackbacks )

I switched it back because springinfo is only pulling a few sources. Look you your feed, and then look at the main page.

I kept checking springinfo to see movement, but after a week of 0 activity I changed it back.
