Re: Next BA update and sequel?
I really see no difference between your mod Nixa and all other attempts at replicating OTA, why should it be yours that will get the BA name, and not, say, GOTA's? there were times when he tried to hijack the mod even. And SA seems to be played a lot more than any other "my way of doing BA"...

Re: New PC?
if you are getting a 6 core cpu, I recommend to at least get 8 GB of RAM. Especially for large spring maps and video editing.

Re: Minecraft free for a weekend
It is getting pretty offtopic, and I apologise for being a bit of a troll here, I do now wish to be one. I simply stated my opinion about the game, and my expectations. I think I will leave it there. Edit : as being an ass and all, I donate all of my expendable income to OS projects, which I would o...

Re: questions about shields
Thats something that I was puzzling over previously too.
Is there a function to at least simply "consume" the projectile? without any damage done whatsoever? It would be at least a good alternative.

Re: Halo Reach
I never understood playing FPSes with the controller... Its like trying to play Q3 with keyboard only. The only time I ever played xbox (and possibly that was one of the halos) was when I was helping my friend to modchip the xbox (required some soldering work, which he was scared to do). We hooked u...

Re: Knockout Version 2
would be delightful to see gaia flak on the "bumpy" land, because still, the map is mainly dominated by air, due to land being very cramped. the gaia flakkers obviously can be killed, but it will at least slow down air players.

Re: Yet Another BA Fork - Eternal Annihilation (v1.02)
his samsons still fire at ground though... One of the radical changes to consider, which I have not seen being proposed before: What about making the comwreck of your com if self-ded being only reclaimable by the enemy? With addition of a rezbot/conbot function to destroy a wreck rather than suck it...
Re: NOTA 1.63
using same reasoning you could use those 20 vashps to pretty much rape any kbot AA.
As you might have guessed, I have the same hatred for vashps as you do for arty.

great to see an actually "semi-official" BA fork with the right directions!

Re: BA II v1.0
Making an installer shouldnt be hard, but distributing stolen IP in such a way is a bit of a slippery ground.

Re: BA II v1.0
if you change the very mechanics of BA, why call it BAII? there is already XTA, SA, CA etc, all of which are different takes on making BA different. Either the changes have to be invisible (i.e. small anti-eco/anti-t2air changes in numbers, not mechanics), or the mod has to stop attempting to preten...

Re: #main secretly wants to scare off all newbs :<
Whenever I am downloading something, I frequently get 5-15 seconds lag.
Maybe simply allow a max of 3 lines pasted before taking the time delay into account? Should fix most of the issues, while actually killing off the spammers.

Re: Balanced Annihilation V7.18
It should, Fast packs/unpacks faster than "maximum" or whatever the highest compression is.
Spring uses the same algo for unpacking, so it would take longer to unpack a full compression vs fast compression.

Re: #main secretly wants to scare off all newbs :<
It seems entirely plausible if the lag is on the user's end. (wifi lagged for a second, and packets were queued).

Re: Balanced Annihilation V7.17
I would rather suggest to decrease their accel. and the VTOL speed. So that, after you press wait/stop, the bomber would fly for another mile before landing. As far as I know this should not affect turning radius, or other aspects of the bomber, it will just be a bit more hassle landing them where y...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V7.16
Ok they're more effective than you thought they are. So what is the problem with that? What kind of bomber strat breaks the game, in what gametype? On what maps? It's not like you can just build bombers and win... And if they really are so strong that it makes the game worse, nerf them in other way...
