Guys I'm not trying to make a direct comparison, just offer some crude perspective (like an order of magnitude calculation). I was also aware of the disclaimer and that is partially the reason I posted direct links.
The bottom line is that money is probably not as much money as you think it is.

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
So, I guess I'm going to be the weird one out and say that I tried out galactic war last night and while I could see lots of areas lacking, there were also a lot of things that impressed me. The whole interface felt rather slick (especially the notifications), the warp gates were really cool, the mu...

And yes, FA's understanding of scripting is zero. I think beyond editing a few lines and copypasting stuff together (with instructions and help given by others) he has never written anything. Prove me wrong though. At very least his talent is extremly limited. There is nothing wrong with that, but ...

Funny that their first step to promote local small scale economics is to make a webpage, I doubt it will take off. Funny that the first step to improving communication is using the most efficient communication machine ever created? Meanwhile (at least in germany) in many cities there already exist ...

What made you think you needed to compile and how might that be remedied so future potential developers are not similarly confused?9heart wrote:First I read http://springrts.com/wiki/Building_Spring_on_Windows

Re: ZeroK screenshots
Great screens, im still waiting when ZK and Spring developers finally start to cooperate so ZK doesnt have to be stuck on 91 engine another years. Many other games are in 96 and have been for ages, so I don't think you can blame the engine for this. Afaik the main issue is in the automatic replay u...

Re: BAR subforum?
I don't think "cute" fits the art style or gameplay.
"Total Annihilation" was a great name because it sounded epic but was also slightly tongue-in-cheek; it sounded serious without actually taking itself too seriously. I think BA still fits really well within that theme.

You can likely control it through the animation script. Something like not returning any fire points when the unit is below a certain height above the land.

Im pretty sure you noticed that list -that just showing that things what they/you believe to have solved. It is currently a horror with ATI/AMD. Instead of bugs, you listed bug-fixes and then your "proof" of bugs was the insinuation that 1) Some bug-fixes did not work (of which you have n...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
This idea of "buy bitcoins before they run out" seems like quite a bad trend for something which is supposed to be used as a currency. If you have to be an early adopter of this currency for it to work in your favour then it won't be widely used. Now, I'm not saying that bitcoins are a py...

Re: decay BA v7.84 widgets pack
Game developers not renamed these widgets even if they changed/fixed/updated them. Why should I change widget's original name? It's normal to rename something (at least slightly) if you fork it. Normal? I don't do normal. Shortly from now I will be announcing the release of decay BA v7.84 widgets p...
