Re: thesleepless's Models and Concept Art

Well if you could airdrop multiple glaives behind enemy lines you could do serious damage.

Maybe if it was fitted to be able to carry 8 glaives in those bays + 1 or 2 units underneath of whatever size you'd have a nice mobile assault force.

Add a sneaky Pete and

Re: How do you use the Kodachi?

This would neuter Logos best heavy vech factory defense against flash spams as well.

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

If the only real difference was that Nova tanks went over the water and Logos went under the water... Well I dunno tbh.

Not really that much help huh :)

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

Afterthought: Sure shields rape energy but advanced fusions are incredibly cost effective. The biggest trade-off is that it has relatively low hp and explodes like a nuke, so its dangerous to have in your base but also dangerous to have it where its unprotected. But really all you need to do to mak...

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

I find the most effective counter to shield-porc is, when playing Logos, to jump a bunch of Jacks right in. I've never seen anything Jacks couldn't handle once they get into striking range. The hard part is getting them there. Perhaps such an option could be made available to Nova? Move the hybrid-...

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

My only really serious issue with the shield is that the only really really effective counter for them is EMP. So if you're fighting a shield spammer and you're not ARM, I don't see an effective way of dealing with them. Tremmors are fail, Airstrikes are Fail, Tac Nukes are Fail, can someone give me...

Re: SupCom-esqe spawning of the commander

I think the concept of boost decay, IE boost slowly ticks down to zero over the period of say 60 seconds would be a nice way of doing things. This is way too stressful. If player A starts right next to three mexes and builts his whole base with barely losing any ticks, while an opposing player B st...

that works? EMP missiles go through the shield, but taknukes don't?
Last time I saw it used, it did yeah.

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

The whole point of shields is that they stop low-DPS artillery like tacnukes and pillagers. It's doing the thing it's supposed to be best at. If you want to beat down a shield by brute force, you need to use high-DPS weaponry, or use heavy-splash-damage weaponry to attack targets near the edge of t...

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

it's more the overlapping shield archs.

Watched a match where Waldos tac nukes where barely scraping the enemies shields. They went down to about 60% tops.

Re: SupCom-esqe spawning of the commander

I'd say the problem with boost rushing is some rushes are uncounterable without guessing the tactic and deliberately perparing for it. But if you do that and they don't then you're at a disadvantage because you just wasted your boost. It's rock paper scissors, and a bit lame. Boosting however is a n...

Re: How do you use the Kodachi?

I love it... A few of them will eat flash swarms for breakfast. it's about the best think in the Core tank factory for anti swarm bar the very expensive goli. in a group the missing isn't really a problem as they AoE the target area nicely. enough firepower to take down light defenses quickly as wel...

Re: Screenshots

Glavies don't loose arms though, they blow up.

The Jethro does give the impression of being tougher than it looks, I was playing a game (got desynced so it went to pot) but I got bandits into a bunch of them and it's suprising how slow they were in taking them out.

The problem with the storm was that it looked too much like the bandit when it was that small.

People were getting hammered by storms thinking they were raiders

Re: Comparing Logos and Nova

I agree that one of the issues with Core/logos is a certain blandness in combat syle in that they often follow simple rules of Tank > Bigger tank > Even bigger tank Artie > Bigger Artie > Even bigger artie Quite often Arm/Nova have a degree of variety, with nothing being really analogous of the Snip...
