Re: Gentoo Ebuilds
I'm sorry I didn't noticed that the new version was already set up at the server, but I unmasked it now.

Fabulous, but it will build the remaining stuff when "make install"ing, unless I miss something obvious.

Re: Test build for 0.82
Time to build it is increased big time when all of GML / HL / default are build. Are there any flags to disable / enable them seperately?
Apart from that, build worked nicely, will do some test later on.

IMA LEAVING thread
Well, not really. But as you probably noticed, I didn't do any real work on spring in the recent past, and I don't see that changing in the forseeable future. Althought I still might make a small patch sometimes, I won't and can't do anything that will even remotely justify a regular contributor sta...

For the users, which expect the program to not crash because the maintainer doesn't like specific users. Or to not uninstall itself and install something different on its own.Satirik wrote:a problem for what ?==Troy== wrote:unlike SL, TASC is ENTIRELY maintained by ONLY satirik, and noone else, which, is, again, a problem.

I disagree, in my experience most people (who are not that experienced users) are confused by options and choices and they make for an unfinished and deterring experience.Spawn_Retard wrote:People need competition to get the best out of the lobbies are available.

Re: Board Games
Another game I like is Vinci:
Its an empire building / conquest game, but has almost no random elements in gameplay while not being as complex as other games (in terms of rules).

You should hide the menu when recording. And probably use a higher resolution, I can't see much.

Re: Has anyone tried to build it with clang?
I guess the only way to find out is to try it. But I don't think it would make a big difference.
edit: I tried it once, but didn't come far as I couldn't figure out how to compile and link stuff with it.

I have seen this, it basically reproduces features already in lua. Would it really add any benefit for spring master?

Re: Telling springsettings.exe where springsettings.cfg is
I assume Auswaschbar post is about how unitsync interface already support custom springsettings.cfg locations. Loosely related is the issue of making sure unitsync, SpringLobby, SpringSettings, all inherit the environment variables table of whoever run them, and all make good use of the SPRING_DATA...

Re: Telling springsettings.exe where springsettings.cfg is
Ah. So SpringSettings does not open the .cfg itself, it relies on unitsync to find and parse it? If so, then unitsync would need to support a parameter to indicate where the springsettings.cfg file is as well. EXPORT(void ) SetSpringConfigFile(const char* filenameAsAbsolutePath); EXPORT(const char*...

I'm not sure Spring can be made to obey strictly to their format specification . I could modify my launcher.exe so it run a Spring.exe in a subfolder, but how to maked default settings and configurations be copied from DefaultData to Data on first try? Would it be possible to keep mods & maps (...
