looks good from the side, but it's probably annoying from an overhead perspective - those trees probably get in the way of your view an assload

I thought:

He made the tree by making them massive with the heightmap and placing an feature over it.
However, the camera has much trouble with it. Since it remains focus on a fixed point on the map. and that point moves along the player wants. so if that point is in a tree, the camera moves very high, mking it impossible to see usefull.
And the trees are alwasy in the way.
I think thats why he never released it.

It's on my to do list... just bare in mind that SWS now takes a chunk of my time, and that untill recently there was no way to realy make this map work. There is more chance now, and since I can actully moddel now and texture half decently there is a good chance the map will one day re-surface in tribute to this picture. However... as it stands it will not be released.

Currectly I just use it to lode up new features into to test they work, but whiles't doing this I have found that actully teh way it was set up was quite crap.

If you realy want a big tree then get XacomBeach, whitch features a nice big tree, somthing like waht I will eventully do for this map. And I can moddel even better now than i could when I did that.

::EDIT:: oh and Zenka is right... and so i wont do it like that next time casue there are better ways now.

When agorm made that tree map, the indestructible tag didn't work.

Yep, and nither did no reclaim, and collisions were borked, s3o's had no height info and make there own spheras... its all so different now. And its taken me this long to get around to finding out what works again...

Hey, even if it won't work because of view issues, you can always make it exclusively for Com Shooter ^_^
