Do people want a world map in the lobby like GPGNet?
GPG Net has a map of the world on which you can see players and where they come from, and you can zoom in further and see details.

The best part of the worldmap is being able to see where games are being hosted, so that you can join games which are closer to you.
Not so much of an issue in Spring, I suppose, because there's less information travelling down the pipe.

I stand by my statement, if not my spelling... seriously, there's about 100 more useful things I can think of to put in the lobby.
The only way I'd be in favor of this is if it gives peoples' addresses so that we can send... "presents"... to certain... "valued community members".

Like... there's US and then we have black niggers, white niggers, yellow niggers, red niggers and sand niggers. Yeah what for. A better feature would be to see the ping time you get from the people who participate in a game, visible only in the battle screen at reasonable intervals.

I most certainly wouldn't want to play with someone to whom I have a ping of 1500+ ms every now and then. No this IS a useful feature... it's just not important.

Only if we could integrate this as some sort of metagame. As in American players fight games and boost America's status, English for Great Britain, the Aussies for... their little patch ... junk... etc

Then have a feature to show latency like in almost every lobby for other games... not some world-map bling-bling...
