Overview of team starting positions

This is kind of a small thing, but I think the game would benefit from starting positions being clearly marked on the minimap during start position selection, so that all players can see where all of their team m8s have chosen to start.

Alternatively, the selected starting points could be rendered regardless of zoom level. This would allow for the same overview simply by zooming out. If I hit tab or zoom all the way out manually, the starting positions are no longer rendered.

Since starting positions are handled as normal points, there would probably have to be some special treatment of player start points during start position selection. Maybe they could be shown on the minimap with the commander icon?

And not just in the minimap, in the real map too.

That marker thing must be some real old quickly programmed thing which nobody never bothered to change.

I also hate it when my teammates can erase those positions.
And also that when those positions disappears if i come too late to that game (havent tested the reasons for disappeared markers, but i think its that).

Yes, it is possible to choose a starting position and then erase the marker, even when the game still hasn't started. That way nobody can see where you start. Don't know why anybody would do this except for the random acts of a disruptive player.

+1 to both suggestions.

The ability to choose a specific starting point - scripted or otherwise - may as well be added in at the same time.

This would be nice, those markers are so small, and sometimes the teamcolour makes em really hard to see, Id suggest wherever you click the map, a big "barbie" pink bullseye appears. At least this way it won't be disguised in the maps terrain colours. Exept on "teh pink" obviously, but I havent seen that played in a looong while. :)

If it is a huge bullseye (like twice the diameter of a vehicle plant) with the team color in the center, surrounded by bright green, surrounded by bright red, surrounded by bright blue, it should be virtually impossible for it not to show up on any map, no matter what the terrain is. Also, if it is very large, it will subconsciously encourage teammates not to start too close to each other unless they mean to.
